This is a wonderful kaidandansu (step tansu) in great condition. The face of the drawers is beautiful Keyaki wood (Zelkova). The carcass is made of Hinoki (cypress). The large door has black lacquer on the frame. It comes with a handrail which you may or may not choose to use. Step tansu are very difficult to find in Japan these days and if and when you do find one, it will be very expensive. An extremely good investment. |
