| These beautiful tables were used with a hibachi or heating element underneath and a large comforter over the top of the table. You would then sit around the table with the comforter over your lower body and legs, allowing you to be toasty warm on the bottom. Needless to say the upper torso and arms would be a bit frigid.This piece is made from Hinoki (Cypress) and the lattice is mortise and tenon joinery. It can be used as a coffe table with glass on top, or for something a bit different. I can be used on its side with glass on top as a hall table. |
