Mentors
Application to become a MAGIC mentor
MAGIC members occasionally ask who to turn to on the island when their Macs appear to misbehave or when they need some training or hand holding. Here are some MAGIC members who might be able to help out.
Mentors are willing to meet with you at a social center such as a coffee shop with WiFi or make house calls where required. Donations to MAGIC for services are not required but will be gratefully received - they are tax deductible where the law allows.

Mentor Application Form
We invite all MAGIC members to consider volunteering as a mentor, to be available to offer help to other members.
Details:
- A "mentor" is a member with experience with Mac products beyond beginner stage, but not necessarily an "expert" or "wizard" -- just enough so you feel you might helpful to a fellow member struggling with basics. This might be by phone, or more likely in face-to-face meeting, at the convenience of both.
- To sign up, Contact one of the MAGIC officers.
Ground-rules:
- Learners needing help are invited to choose, via the website a mentor.
- Mentors and 'learners' will meet informally in 1:1 meetings at their convenience.
- If you as mentor find you cannot solve the learner's problem, feel free to suggest they try another mentor, or you yourself do the legwork in finding help. There is no blame in being unable to solve a problem.
- All should understand that the time commitment on a mentor's part is limited.
- Payment for mentor's services is entirely optional for the learner. If they would like, he/she may make a tax deductible contribution to MAGIC via PayPal using the Donations link in the website.
- As a mentor you are free to withdraw from the listing at any time.
